ive bought a 90 k plate 200tdi van that needs a chassis put under it the body is very tidy -anyone bought one but changed there mind if so i am looking to buy one
if it is going to be to expensive to replace the chassis then its for sale
 
Not hard to come by if you've got the dosh. Get yer arse onto google and look. Can't see you getting one cheap though cos there's always gonna be a demand.
 
Zackly, the chassis is about a grand (get a galvie one) then they reckon it's about 100 hours of work by someone who knows what they're doing - £30 an hour will set yer back 3 grand plus, DIY will set yer back 200 hours or the rest of your natural life (well, the weekends and evenings of it anyway!)

lol the engine and box is worth 700 -it is worth the money all day long
do a search on ebay and you will see for yourself
 
You will make you money if you break it and sell parts individually, not many people will buy it as a complete vehicle needing a new chassis when they may only want certain parts
 
Always makes me laugh when people put on Egay how much things are "easily worth" - it's EBAY ffs, what it's "Easily worth" will only show up when the auction has actually ended!!! Only thing that's worth much there is the number plate though, might gerra coupla hundred fur it? If it only needs a bit of a weld for the MOT, do it and get the MOT and you will make 10x what it cost to do back, compared to selling it without one.
 
Or... pay me the cost + a few beer tokens, ill drive up for you, weld it, then get it an MOT and give it to me anyway! :D or ill just weld it for you...


BTW im nowhere near a professional welder, but my chassis welding got me the MOT seal of approval, and i know its strong but not pretty :D
