2007 TDCi - Side Facing Seats - Pass MOT?

Hi,

Fingers crossed somebody can help....... I have a 2007 D90 TDCi van and want to fit rear seats, but don't want to fork out mega bucks for the forward facing rear seats.

Considering new EU law and my model would normally be fitted with forward facing rear seats, can I fit side facing seats (with seat belts) and still pass the MOT?
