2007 td5

Hello all,
I have purchased a td5 Defender which was first registered in June 2007.
The Chassis number says 6A stating it was built in 2006. its not a problem to me I'm just curious. Would anyone have the answer.

Not really ure exactly what your question is?

Hello , it means it was built in 06 , but sold in 07 I suspect

Yep, very common. especially for well models with very good factory spec

+1 on that still a 2006 Defender, just sold, first registered in 2007

Yup....vehicle built in 2006 but was not officially registered until 2007. It should be plated as a 2007.

My TD5 was first registered June 2006 but the special Vehicles VIN plate is dated September 2005. Never bothered me, I know the vehicle build was completed in September 2005 making it a 2005 model year vehicle but the date of first registration on the V5 and for insurance purposes is 2006. I am sure this is very normal.

You have one of the last td5's so it's very sought after, more so than the puma that followed.
Might be a good idea to Look after it .
