2006 Land Rover lr3

Good morning, so I have a 2006 Land Rover lr3. My issue is the passenger side doors will not stay locked. My key fob does not work, so I try to use the manual lock, an it will lock the driver side, but the passenger automatically unlocks when I shut the door. Can someone help me PLEASE!!

Sounds like the battery in the key has broken its connection with the circuit board. There are aftermarket repair kits available.
Is it both keys that don't lock the doors?

Both the disco3 and freelander like to break their door latches, Iirc they are the same part numbers?

I have had the same problem as you on both my drivers side doors, new latches fixed them both times.

Likewise and also had the bad green wires down by the sill when my remote failed to work

wont forget my rear door lock issue as it failed whilst having its MOT

I had no trouble changing the one on the front door but for some reason the rear door was a real pain in the backside

I had a NSR door actuator code come up for a while, and the rear door failed to fully unlock too. However this issue seemed to fix itself (famous last words!), once I activated the all doors unlock function. It seemed the motor just needed to be used frequently.
I'm pretty pleased, as changing a rear door lock assembly is a PITA compared to the fronts.

I can recall having to access one of the rods through a hole in the inner door skin, and it did not want to play, drove me nuts.

On the FL2, the rear door needs to basically be stripped down to access the door lock assembly, even the window needs to come out, which is a ball ache.

Maybe thats where I went wrong?
