Hi People,

I was driving on the freeway yesterday and all of a sudden the car started wobbling heavily. It starts to wobble as soon as you go over 40kph. All the tyres look ok but i have come across articles where people have pointed out brake calipers. that caught my attention as my car got back from service and I was told the brake pads are gone and would need replacement, I havent changed them as yet but I have bought new ones to replace myself. Would the wobble be caused by brake pads being finished and grinding with the disc or wheel balancing? I am taking the wheels off in about ten hours time to replace the brake pads and see if the wobble would go.. I would appreciate any advice!!

Could be a damaged tyre. Check for unusual wear - tyres can go out of shape and produce the symptoms you describe. You could get someone to drive along behind you and check for visible wheel wobble.also
