Hi Folks,
I have a new issue that needs resolving if anyone can help as I haven't been able to find a solution by searching through various similar questions.
I have now discovered that my late 2005 SC, which has an automatic motorway lowering not a driver selected one, has decided not to lower. All other functions are fully operational ie access and off road. All returning to correct level after driving off above 20 - 30 MPH. Even if I lock the access setting it will disengage and raise to normal ride height. I don't know how long this has been the case as we normally drive local roads.
On close examination of ride height screen, the OSF wheel is showing slightly higher in the wheel arch than the other wheels but this has always been the case as I have left it as a nice to fix rather than a priority job. It never stopped the motorway height lowering in the past. (See Pic below).
I have also felt the ride has become stiff after getting away from rolling or lumpy surfaces as if pumped up too hard. Any thoughts on this and could the two be linked?
Cheers Tricky.

Diag is what you need as suggested by the chicken on holiday. ;)

On the L322 of that year motorway height is automatic and cannot be manually selected as it can on the P38. Car should drop to motorway height if the vehicle maintains 60 MPH or more for 30 seconds. It will stay at motorway height until the vehicles speed has dropped to 40 MPH or less for 30 seconds. If the inhibit button is pressed whilst in motorway height, the suspension will stay in motorway height regardless of road speed until the inhibit button is again pressed, then the suspension will rise to standard height.

Hi All,
Wammers is correct that the system for motorway lowering is automatic on my car and can be locked so it isn't going up and down in slower traffic queues. It was working in the past because I remember playing the "lets test everything that works" game when we first got her.
Unfortunately, I haven't got around to getting a plug in reader yet as Black Beauty funds have been taken up on other work. The York JLR dealer was going to be my go to for this issue but they are minimum £140 in the workshop, so perhaps its time to buy a reader, any suggestions would be appreciated. I do have a laptop I can hook up if that helps to utilise a better diagnostic device. I'll have a scroll through the previous threads to see what has been said before. Cheers.
Tricky.

Hi Folks,
Sorry for the double post yesterday. I also have had issues getting the landyzone search function to work when looking for diagnostic info. I'll keep trying today and see where I can get to.
