200 Tdi needed, I think

I am pretty sure the big end on my 2.5TD has just gone as it is now making a rather rough knocking sort of noise. It is hard to describe the noise but it is fair to say that the noise is horrendous and my neighbour who knows a fair bit about cars reckons its the big end or maybe it has dropped a valve. Either way I am pretty sure I need to fit a new engine now. So does anyone have a 200 Tdi for sale or know of one. I live in north east scotland but I am willing to travel to get one.

Try and look fer a defender 200 but they are rare and pricey Yer best bet is to find a 200 disco with shagged body work and you can pick um up cheap. You can also drive it round to make sure it's all ok. and you will have everything you need. If you've got a 90 you may be able to use the axles as well so you can have discs all round
