hi there all ant bin on hear for ages but need help my disco as started only reving to 3000 max no matter what i do to it i get no joy i recently change the timing belt and checked the timing was correct before i put back together did not act up before or after changed belt since then i have changed fuel filter checked all pipes even had exuast off still no joy turbo seems fine it also kangaroos when driving its really doin my head in and need to get it sorted as i use it for work if anyone can help will be very grateful

messed about with star wheel on pump and dnt seem to kangaroo any more but other prob stil there:confused:
 
thats what im thinking but i have checked the mark on the flywheel and the 9.5 bar fits in place as it should when i did the belt i rotated the engine clockwise twice and all timing marks lined up perfect but i think this is only thin left unless anybody else got any ideas before i strip it all down agen
 
Try the lift pump, had this same problem and mine got to the point were it wouldnt rev past 1500. Get some fresh derv in a ltr bottle, disconect the fuel filter to injection pump pipe (from the filter end) and put the pipe in the bottle and see how it runs. If it runs fine then its somthing before the lift pump
