200 tdi conversion..who wants £££

Based in denmark where getting parts is really a problem..reverse has gone on my 1984 n/a 90 so i thought i may as well do the conversion to a 200tdi if i'm going to be taking the box out.

Now i've got a box from a disco, will be getting engine soon..both in uk..

Is there anyone out there who wants to earn some cash and do the job?

Most important to me is that you do it on time as i have to book a ferry back and forward...and they dont wait or do refunds!! I'm quite flexible about when this gets done...i can agree a date that suits.

I will be based in stafford, so anywhere in the midlands or along the route to Harwich is fine..

disco box isn't a direct swap into a depender unfortunately, as am sure you know

if i wasn't part way through emigrating i'd have given you a price for the engine swap - try ASHLEY 4x4 - Main Page - ave put some work his way in the past and have had good results from him, and he's a nice bloke

Will have a look.. if the disco box is too much faffing about i'll go for the defender, bought it cheap and i wanted to open one up anyway and have a go at re-furbing.

Theres just nowhere here for parts, i always fill the back up with filters/pipes/pads and stuff when i fetch a landy. The cost of sending a gearbox and engine on a pallet is huge...cheaper to take the ferry and pick it up myself!!

Waiting for a mail back from both places..i'll probably end up coming over and driving the engine/gearbox back and doing it myself, with some help!...just wondered if there was anyone with time to do it while i'm over and earn a few quid..while i eat chips and gorge on british tv!!
