I copied my bracket off the same one as the pictures seems strong enough you will also have to chop your exhaust as it wont fit anymore, i ordered a whole new exhaust and made it fit.I also got the longer hoses and various other bits from steve parkers for the conversion.

Ive fitted a 300tdi engine in my 1987 landrover 90 originally fitted with the 2.5td engine in it, i made a bracket to fit around the oil filter so i didnt have to modify the chassis and also used my lt77 gearbox. I had a good search around on the internet before i started and figured not modifiying the chassis was the best option just in case it didnt pass its french CT.
So your saying it did pass it's control? i hope so..

I have taken my landrover to morocco and use it for work towing a big ifor williams trailer and the bracket i made is still ok. It passed its control fine its due its ct next month so will let you know how it goes.

Right, so would the MOT guy pickup on the fact that i would have a turbo on what was a 2.5n/a?

he possibly might pick up on the fact it now has a turbo but in france theres plenty of highly modified 4x4s still with cts so i dont know what diffrence it would make just keep the old engine just incase it dosent go to plan you can always change it back or you could possibly change it on the carte grise maybe

sorry pictures arent very good

ooo Thanks will help, i could not see that tiny support round the back ;) i found the source images, much more pixels on that one, that should also help :D

Quick suggestion. Have you got access to a disco R380? If so, why don't you convert it to long stick using the required parts from your LT77, install it on the LT77 mounts and get a proper conversion done that way. The engine will sit just 2 inches further back than standard. In my opinion, a 300 tdi can only be fully enjoyed when coupled to an R380.
