200 or 300? That is the question....

I used to have a 300tdi a few years ago. A couple of Landys later and I am thinking of buying an old Disco again for weekend fun. I've not had a 200 tdi before but am on the look out for an original 2door. Assuming it's not a rusty heap what do you prefer? A 200tdi or 300tdi?

wife has a 300 tdi and ive got a 200 havent been off road yet but on road the road the 300 is leagues ahead smoother quieter and loads more comfy but still love mine and has done 250k

I wish I'd kept my 300. I've had a P38 since and I've just sold my petrol Series 3 SWB and have £1800 burning a hole in my pocket! I like the look of the original 200 2 door with steel wheels though!

Really not that much in it for me. My old 200 seemed to have the power lower in the revs compared to the 300 i've got now, dont know if that'll change after i've done the EGR removal and de-cat thats sat waiting to go on. Aside from that its a coin toss.

If its mainly for a toy, get a no frills model. Less to go wrong!
Wish I had. Bloody abs is always going wrong.

My old 300tdi was just that. 2 doors, no sun roof, no air con, EAS, absolutely nothing. It never let me down, but it was my only drive (20,000 miles a year) so I px'd it for my P38 but that was very expensive. Now I have a diesel Mondeo for work every day and miss have a Land Rover on the drive as I have just sold my Series 3. Dilemma!!!
