having researched on a couple of forums and looked at various suppliers i am still none the wiser! apologies for a potential repeated question but here goes!

i am acquiring another 300tdi disco in the not too distant future and am trying to get a plan of attack ready for it for when i get my hands on it!

my stumbling block at the moment is the suspension. i would like a little bit of extra clearance as i found with my last one that i would frequently catch the towbar and rear step on the way into and out of certain fields, i would also quite like my new truck to look a bit, err, 'meatier' without compromising on-road performance.

if i fitted a spring spacer kit to the disco, would i need to replace any other parts? if so what would i need to replace? my off-roading is fairly tame, mainly field work and towing.

in addition, i would be looking at fitting wheel spacers, again, are there any issues with these and would i need any extra parts? (i am thinking extended arches but am also wondering if i would get away without them!)

thanks in advance!!

Lifting the suspension in any way will afect the on road handling. It is said that fitting spacers will increase stress on your wheel bearings. For extra clearance fit taller tyres and alter your towbar arrangement if posible.

i have heavy duty lift spacers +2 off ebey £75 and a 2+ spring and shocker lift, handels like a little bit of a dog on the road, but once u get used to it its easy enough to handle. and it looks beefy as owt. if i was you i would get heavy duty spacers. the cheep ones arnt very good at all!!
