Hi all
I have two small problems with my disco td5 on a 52 plate with 90000miles.
For some reason it keeps loosing its coolant. I drained and filled the system today as per the Haynes manual because it was down on coolant so I thought I would change it anyway. I then went for a short drive to let it get up to temp. When I got back I let it cool down before checking and it was way below the cold level mark. There had been coolant coming out the overflow(?)tube on the tank thought. I have checked for leaks and found none and there is no water in the oil.
Could my pressure cap be needing replaced on the header tank.?
The other problem is, well its not so much of a problem, when I was under the bonnet with the engine off I could hear a buzzing noise. I have tracked it down to the abs pump area and it is still making this noise 2 hours after the engine was switched off. I don't have an ABS light on or any braking problems so I am unsure as to what it could be.
