Discovery 1 TDi where is my wastegate control unit lurking,
Turbo outlet to metal pipe is soft and squidgy should it be firm when not running

On a TDi your turbo wastegate is a metal cylinder thing about 1.5" in diam and the same in length and will be close to the turbo.
