Hi we bought a 2" lift kit a while ago for our 90 but it seemed to go through UJ's and felt a bit rough on the road. will castor corrected radius arms help or are they a waste of money?
Thanks

castor correcting arms just do that, they will increase the tendency to knock out uj's as they bring the axle/diff back down to the original angle. Only cure is the double de carbon props.

castor correction is just that, less kickback through the steering and not as much wandering over the road. at the moment your diff flange is running at an angle pointing upwards (with the lift kit)when the castor corrected arms are fitted the diff flange will come down towards the ground as per the standard angle, by doing this it will knock out uj's even quicker than what you are experiencing now. My advice is take the lift kit off and throw it on ebay

how does bringing it back to the original angle eat UJ's quicker? id have though the steeper angle from the lift would cause the UJ's to munch sooner and the corrected radius arms would make the angles standard again therefore bringing the life of the UJs back on a par with an un-lifted motor.

am i wrong? im running 2" lift and only just replaced one UJ on each prop, thats after 12months.

think lad....height of g/box output.....height of diff input..

if these are the same yer int got no prop angle, which is good

but in real life them int the same, g/box is higher so yer get a angle on teh prop

if you raise the g/box you make the angle greater but because the diff is tilted it int quite so much

if you then put the diff back to the original position you increase the angle

Get a double cardon uj. It will allow for much greater prop angles without throwing uj's. If that is too expensive for you get a wide angle propshaft, allows bigger angles without the expense!
