2" lift with 285/75 Stability

I did have plug kit but no patch in it, puncture happened 20k into the track with over 200 left to do, 50°c 3 kids in the back !! bottled out and turned back, did get it fixed localy!!

Shame no patches but atleast you got it fixed. We would have done the same also.

I think what I'm trying to get at is this: take 1 spare and if you split a tyre get it repaired asap. If you take 2 you would still need to get 1 repaired but it would buy you time. However, you are never that remote where tyre repairs cannot be done. most places are arguably within 1 days drive. I think this is a better approach as your not carrying the weight of the 2nd spare and the storage implications it brings.

I really think 1 is enough and its worth saving the cost and weight on both short and long haul trips
