2" Lift Springs - which goes where ?

I've purchased a used but good set of springs & dampers (2 inch lift) for my 200tdi, one pair of springs are longer, the shorter set do have a bit of masking tape marked front, therefore assume longer pair are for the back. Pretty hard to actually make out anything else from the springs themselves other than longer pair were blue and shorter pair yellow original finish. Does this seem logical ?

Yes.

Shorter pair are fronts, longer are rears.

The shorter pair might have one spring very slightly longer than the other, 1/2 and inch or less, which if there is one, should be to the drivers side.
