cheers mate top help. so say i put the 1972 2 door shell on disco chassis how would you go about log book registration plate etc would it be the 1972 1

Would have thought that there would be no problem because there is just the VIN and Engine no. on the log book-no mention of a separate chassis no, entered. It would have to pass the MOT though if you intend using it on the road. No doubt someone will say I'm wrong.

If you're doing it by the book, a minefield, probably should have a Q plate because you are mixing bits from used two cars. Lots of threads on here about it.

i wouldnt worry about it. once its all painted up and looking good the only thing that will be a tell tale is the size of the bushes and bolts, front swivels and rear shocks.
Go for it!

cheers for that everyone going to look at the shell this weekend,
whats your 90 like with the m5 engine how long did that take you to complete??
many problems.?
you got any pictures????

took about a month to do i think. goes vey well indeed!
am stripping it now as its due an overhaul, i dont want to buy another one as they are a fortune so i will treat this one well!
gonna redo my conversion plate aswell cos i think its very slightly off line and i dont want it eating my new gearbox when the engine goes back in!
