I signed up a while ago when I first got my Range Rover Classic, that has since broke the front UJ taking out the gearbox and transfer box then promptly turned to dust instead of metal, so it was sold on for spares.

And kinda in its place a TD5 appeared.

As nice as it was I needed something a bit less refined for work when a Vito popped up and as ever on a whim I added it to the ever expanding fleet that was starting to appear.

Trusty stead it was but again rotten as a peach, when my dad told me they were buying a new XC90 and I could have his newly acquired Discovery 300 V8 if I got rid of the Vito.

So the Vito grew wings

Adios fella but we had a good run and well I was always a sucker for a V8:doh:

A nice rot free 300, so with grand plans afoot a decision was made and we would work/off road the 300 while keeping the TD5 for the nicer times (we say that as its more of a case of save it for the times it works)

For once I followed my own advice and decided before buying anything I would see what the foundations were like.
So it got mucky

And stuck a few times, but then I blame that on operator error ;)

Once it got back home a few went through my mind main thing was it needed a lift as were sure it sits over an inch lower than standard and handled rather well for a 300, but its to low for the rescue group I have signed up with also the tyres even thou there more than up to legal levels they just don't cut the mustard off road so a more aggressive tyre.

But before all that I the pain to deal with, leaking ACE on the TD5 and a fuel leak on the V8, its not like it wasn't thirsty enough :D

I asked if he wanted to go through the side doors, just shrugged his shoulders and went "Be reet".

Based on the amount of rust hidden inside am surprised it didn't just disintegrate.

What was more impressive was the rear doors staying shut with around 300 kg of scrap resting on them with it only on the first latch.
