Hi folks, can anyone direct me to some info on fault finding on the intake/Turbo hoses on the 19j engine? The issue I have is I am producing boost but as the pressure hits 0.25bar it's getting lost. Can I assume it is the waste gate that is jammed open? Or is it more likely to be a split in one of the hoses? What tests can be performed to trace the problem? I know someone out there will have seen this before, any info would be sweet.

Thanks in advance,

Cakey

Inspect all hoses for splits and remove and look inside for any collapsing internally.

mine dropped off a while ago it turned out to be the boost diaphragm in the FIP had burst and the boost was leaking out into the fuel tank. I ran mine for 6 months before it blew up. when you get the chance change to a tdi. :)
IMHO

.....airbox to Turbo hose collapsing at the air box end. Unfortunately, I didn't diagnose this myself as the old girl conked out on the motorway on the way to work this morning.
Oh well, hopefully all mended tomorrow. Thanks for your speedy replies, muchly appreciated!
