2.5TD Engine belt or chain driven

Hi all, I just bought my first RR P38, the guy I bought it off neglected to mention the suspension leak, but hey ho, what I wanted to know is the 2.5 BMW TD engine is it a Cam belt or a chain, if it's a belt I need to get it replaced just in case, any help appreciated, also any one with cheap parts in the Lancashire area I would be interested in hearing from you.

It has a nice reliable chain, or rather two of them.
No silly belts to change!

THIS WILL test your faith in motor vechicles ,they are notoriously unreliable but i love mine,best thing since sliced bread when they,r running but i would but yourself a bike as well .lol....dave

I think you are right about buting a bike as well, although I put another post on the forum looking for local parts and one of the members gave me the number of a guy in Lancashire, I spoke to the guy who specialises in breaking P38s and he did me a mega-deal on a couple of front air suspension bags, and he will fit them too. He has a 10,000 sq foot mill full of braking P38s and when I asked how come I couldn't find them he says he doesn't the internet, he said he doesn't really understand how it works, so I said I would put his details on here...grab yourself a bargain.
