2.5NA to 200TDI Conversion

Hello All,

I potentially might be buying my first Land Rover, its a mid 80's 90 with a 2.5 NA Diesel, ex-RAF. I'm told its OK but if I'll be using it a lot on the road I might benefit from going to a 200TDI motor and gearbox. I can see (from a brief search) that this is common thing and fairly straight forward, if you know what you are doing.

I'm in the Chester area and I don't really know anything about Land Rovers. Can anyone on here recommend someone in the North West or Mid Wales area that could carry out this work for me to a good standard with relative ease?

Get one that is already done or one with factory fitted 200tdi. Probably cost about the same if you have no land rover abilities.

Good 200tdis are getting thin on the ground, not to mention expensive. Probably best to go 300tdi and get the Steve Parkers conversion kit.
