Ok chaps i'm hoping somebody can help me out.
My mate has a P38 2.5DT and it's developed a terrible Diesel knock. It started struggling for power a bit over a couple of days and when starting on xmas eve it sounded like a bag of spanners!!
A local mechanic seems to think it could be linked to a fuel solenoid inside the fuel pump?? we have a spare fuel pump that was intended to be fit but knobody seems to be interested in fitting it. So i'm hping either somebosy can advise on the problem or point me in the direction of a diesel specialist/Land Rover/BMW specialist in Lancashire that might be able to help out.
