2.5 Tdi Water Pump failures (R/R + Disco)

Has anyone got any nightmare stories about water pump failures in the following vehicle applications:
Discovery 2.5Tdi 89-94
Range Rover 91-95
I think the Engine was known as a Gemini 1. I am particularly interested in failures that have occurred after a replacement pumps have been fitted by a Landrover Main Dealer.
What was your experience, what was the reason given for the failure? did you have to change any other parts ?

In answer to your question.....no. But, do you fancy going out on the green lanes. 17/02/06. Take Karl out, first day of his B'day weekend. Need "letdown" along also as back up vehicle. Real rocky stuff, but good fun.

Good god the entire village of Dwygy has found this site. Welcome Mr R,, Spot of green laning sounds excellent. Is it localish ! The Disco won't be ready but the 2 1/4 should be up to anything your Camel breathed mobile home can do ! Foster and Karl are both talking about getting Landys. Will talk in the Dwygy this week, or pop round, but remember to park that lovely machine of yours down the road, coz i don't want the neighbours to think that i have come into money, and they'll want me to hire some company to come and cut my hedge so they can start seeing the sun before July !!!

its the day of love so I'm not gonna disturb you.
Seems a reputation we have youngling (spoken in the tongue of Yoda). Have asked a few local dwygy drinking 4x4 owners if they are free on Frietag but all appear to despatately search for other commitments.

It would be responsible (not in your dictionary I know) to find A. N. Other to run with us. That said I have moved my late appointments and added another little jolly to the trail for on the way back. Need to clarify with you and add it to your log.

p.s. decent recovery equipment arriving Thursday, and don't forget to write your bloody will cos if A. N. Other can't show its just us son.
