2.5 td gearbox

Does anyone know if a 90 2.5 TD gearbox would bolt on to a 200tdi defender engine without any problems, and the same goes for the transfer box, the defender transfer box in to the 90 gearbox.
the guy who i am looking at buying from is adament it will, but i just want to comfirm this before i end up with a box that is no good to me.....
can someone help me resolve this matter........

I have just fitted a 200tdi disco motor into an early 90, i had to drill and tap and move a few of the studs, no great problem, not sure if you would have to do this on a defender 200tdi, someone on here will know.

if you use the flywheel housing off the TD then they will mate perfectly
