Is France the same as here the car is insured and not the driver hence the restriction?...
Correct, the car is insured. The super powerful 2.5tdi....
My volvo v50 is a 136bhp the same as the 38', technically it's more powerful, power to weight makes it more powerful than the range..

We bought a near duffer for my son.
800€, a dead front diff, timing out, duff plugs, duff airbags, duff shocks, duff tracking bar, duff hockey stick bushes, duff drop links, piddling oil, duff front tyres and to boot....spent 900€ of his own money on parts and tyres.... He's just passed his test and learnt he isn't allowed to drive the funking thing for three years due to a probation period with his new license because it's too powerful?????? .. We bought a shït house of a car off a guy who wouldn't know the end of a dipstick if he was hit in the face with it but claimed he did..... Your doing OK matey.
Positive side, it's only 132.000mls and the interior is nice. Worth the money any day. :D
130hp and no Torque is "too powerful"

Lol wut! :confused::D

On the bright side he/bank of dad could get a cheap runabout, (I know, not that easy in France) and then he has 3 years to fix and fettle the Rangie.
Thats what I told him, I've a volvo v50 with the and they'll insure him in that, although it's the same bhp??.
I wouldn't want to wait three years... But he's no choice. A cheap runaround the Volvo is and he likes the car also. :D
