2.5 petrol in series 3

Hi I've just purchased a series 3 which has a 2.5 engine with the 2.25 cylinder head, manifold and carb (zenith 361v) fitted. Because it has the wrong carb fitted when accelerating the engine judders as it's not getting enough fuel. I was wondering if different size jets are available and if anyone has any recommendations on the correct size?

you could just fit the right head and carb

Check your accelerator pump is working. You'll get better mileage and power with the right head and carb though...

From what I've read the 2.25 head is supposed to increase compression and fuel economy but I'm not so sure about that! I would change it back but in the next year I'm looking to fit a 200tdi anyway.

For now I've managed to get the engine running ok by adjusting the fuel screw, however it currently takes a lot of turning over when starting from cold so some more investigation is needed!
