i got a 2.25 doosil in a lwb. ( yeh i no but it was only 200quid ) and it is the most sluggish engine ever i think . just wondering if theres any secrets to how to make it a bit better . dont say a hiclone / k and n . if i clean the injectors would it make a ****sworth . it had stood for a year and we towed it up the road till it started. but i put fresh fuel in it. its been serviced with britparts n castrol oil. also got a tin of friction kit that you put in top of engine . but is it worth it ?

Search the forum for tuning 2.25 engines!
It would make a serious difference if the engine was way off-tune, BUT, even at the VERY BEST, a 2.25 diesel MIGHT make 60 bhp on a good day at 3,500 to 4,000 rpm going flat out. It isn't a lot for a big car.

Take the 4 injectors out AFTER you find someone with a injector tester, and get the pressures checked and re-set, and the spray pattern examined to make sure it's OK.

Then set about making little changes in the injection TIMING, advancing a little at a time .... and you will soon know if you are heading in the right direction.

Snake oil or not,

and free or not ....

I suggest you do NOT add this stuff to your engine.

If you really want to reduce friction (such very little as there is!) the ONLY substance that will do it is molybdenum disulphide in one form or another, MOLYSLIP being one common name for it. It works. I could tell you a story about Molyslip .....
