I have bought a new lift pump and fuel lines as i'm not convinced either are in good nick. Does a diesel lift pump have a separate glass bowl pre-filter. If not, it has been fitted with a petrol one.
Also on pumping the lever on the lift pump there is very little pressure, compared to the new one.
I also noticed when turning the engine over that the fuel returning to the tank on the return line (its clear) had a lot of air bubbles in, no matter how much i tried to bleed the system.
Pity Xmas has got in the way of things, i probably won't be able to have a faff with it until after the New Year now
