2.2 tdci rebuild challenge

Hi, having to rebuild my 2.2 tdci motor in Defender 90. Am based in South Africa. Struggling to get the piston rings, gaskets etc locally as dealers only want to sell sub-assemblies. I can get most of the parts from Ford for the Ford 2.2 tdci - assume that can use these as is the same motor? Might be a stupid question but wanted to get some advice


Parts:
timing chain\tensioner
main and big end bearings
gaskets
water pump
conrod bolts
cylinder head bolts

I have no experience of this engine but a quick Google threw this up
