2 1/4 diesel swirl chamber

I have just stripped the head of my landrover because head gasket has gone. one of the swirl chambers has come out and the other three have a slight wobble.

I can not find any info on what to do if they come out,and how they are held in place. should I need to replace it does ay one know the part No.

Is there any thing I can do to the loose swirl chambers to make them tight fit again.

Not to worry too much - they are designed to come out but usually they need to be knocked out through the injector hole.

Clean the head recess thoroughly, and the insert, and then use a LITTLE thread-lock (such as Loctite T22) around the insert, press it home, and sit a heavy weight on top of it till tomorrow, and that should be that.

They CAN NOT fall out once the head is in place.

It is very important to make sure the recess is clean and that the insert sits in properly.
