Hello All, i recently had a gearbox failure, had it reconditioned, but then had trouble with engine only reving to 2500 revs, finally traced it to Crank sensor getting bent by the flags on the flywheel. replaced the sensor, but now 1st or 2nd gear (not too sure which) over revs to 3000+ before changing, (in normal mode) and the rest of the gears change at 2500 as normal. In sport mode the change is over 3500 revs. When the gear should change there is always a flat spot (at 2500) then it stays in gear till 3000+ any help much appreciated.....

Who did the recondition, what was done? Sounds like a sticky governor. Does it do it only when cold or all the time?

Mine has the same problem on first to second and second to third changes, I'll be interested to hear what if anything you find.
 
Wammers...

the flat spot... mostly when cold , but not always, but over revs in 1st or 2nd all the time

KGM Autos in Failsworth did the recon... that side of it seems ok now, suspect maybe something else??
