After much research and consideration - I confirmed today to buy my 1st Landy :)

Here is abit about her....

- She is a beautiful Range Rover classic which has recently undergone a full panel by panel (except roof) respray into what i beleve is Fuiji white as in the new discoverys.

- Shes done 97k and drives flawlessly still and sounds grorgous!

- She is the 4.0l V8 engine with an "emmegas LPG kit"

- The LPG kit has tanks under sill, replaced petrol tank with LPG and a boot tank. There is a custom 60mile petrol tank also underneath.

-She is called Olli (one.life.live.it) after a recently deceased friend/legend's favourite boat and life motto.

- Cloth interior which looks like new in the front - not good in the boot.

Its a nice story as to how i decided to buy her, basically it all fell into place. Easter weekend my girlfriend finally had a sense of humour failure about my old N-Reg volvo estate. At this point i should explain im 21 and out of all my friends - im the only one who has a proper job and i had the worst car. Shortly after we had pulled over to re-ducktape abit of the trim back down a white Disco 4 came flying past me and she said - jokingly "I want you to get a white landrover next" I said fine if we can find one that 3k haha. We then changed subject.
1/4 a mile from home - i saw Olli parked on the side of the road with for sale sign and we chuckled saying id never be able to afford it. Over the proceding week id driven past it each day and slowly fallen in love so on the saturday I went back up the road and had a look around it and made a note of the reg etc and noticed it was LPG. For the rest of saturday, out of interest i sat down and did the sums for the running costs compared to the Volvo and MUCH to my supprise - it was alot closer than i was expecting, if not CHEAPER!!! Fuel (on LPG) is obvs alot cheaper, Insurance is only £300 more a year than the volvo, tyres online arent too much worse and tax is the same £220 a year and im presuming the parts are similar. Based on the above, and based on 15k miles a year minimum, The RRC is cheaper to run than my Volvo! let alone more fun, cooler, more useful for towing etc etc etc and my GF approves which is the important thing!
So monday morning I rang the owner and told him my position and he told me about the car and what he does i liked what i heard, asked my colleague at work abit about LPG as i know nothing about it i turns out he knows the owner and has worked with him in the past. My colleague said it was a good car, the owner said it was a good car, my eyes said it was a good car, my GF approved, my wallet approved, my gut approved, my heart approved, test drove perfectly, its a white landrover and the final clincher was the saying "you dont sh!t on your own door step" so today I rang him and hes putting a fresh MOT on it for me this week, ready for collection sat morning :D

She has a few little bit that need fixing...
- LPG has a leak somewhere and looses pressure when not used
- No central locking
- Boot lid needs repacing (replacment included in sale)
- T-Box is stuck (hopefully seized/solenoid)
- Boot is a mess.

Then a few mods...
- CD player/Parrot install
- Fog lights
- Waxoyl
- Engine bay steam clean/detail

Here are some piccies....

Hope you approve :)

Nice story. I'm not a fan of big white cars- they always make me think of what it would be like to drive a snowball or if you are taking stuff from the boot it looks like you are attempting sexual relations with a giant sheep. Your not Welsh by chance :D
That said it does look like a clean car. Hope you have years of enjoyment with her.

have a look at previous owners - Virgin had a number of 94 and 95 white classics they used as chauffeur cars for airport runs.
I had a white Calssic for 10 years - you will spend a lot of time cleaning it if you want it to keep looking decent.
Looks a very nice car though - good luck with it

On the previous owners, the police also had these babies. My only question would be has she been in a bump as the bonnet doesn't seem to sit right on the offside front. Not trying to put a downer on it, as she otherwise looks lovely and a little bump is nothing to one of these but best to check.

its a real bird puller that one you can see the bird on the bonnet, does the pigeon come with the range rover,
very nice.
