My Series 3 has a 19j in it.

The woring was a burds nest. 36yrs of dodgy stuff, so no chance of sorting it. Just had to rip it all out.

Can someone give me and idea of how to get it to turn over?

12v to the small terminal on the starter.
Assuming you still have the heavy battery lead positive to the starter stud and the heavy negative battery lead to the engine/gearbox.

Got that battery lead on.
It is the rest of it, like power to the fuse boxes and such.

It used to be an arse to start,
Push a button for the glow plugs,
Flip a switch for fuel pump,
Turn the keys,
Take the keys out,

It would keep running with no keys in it.
