1998 Range Rover 4.6HSE Automatic Gearbox Pump

Hi all, I am from Brunei Darussalam. As per the title, my car is having a problem with the automatic gearbox fluid pump and I think the gear is in bad nick hence it produces a loud knocking noise. The car also wouldn't engage the gears. Can I just get the gear replace or I need to buy the whole fluid pump assy?

A new gearbox from the sound of it.

Previously, when the pump gear was damaged, the car won't engage gears. Then the mechanic send the damage pump gear to a machine shop and it worked for a few months. And then the gear got broken again...

Never heard of a pump failure before. It's driven direct off the end of the torque converter so not sure what gear you are talking about, maybe the pump itself?
