Up for grabs is my 5-door, R reg 1998, 300tdi in Woodcote Green Metallic. The missus is insistent on going back to two cars, so this one has to go :( Gutted as i spent ages trying to find a decent solid one. I could do with it being sold before the Bank holiday next Monday as that's when the insurance runs out!

Only owned it 3 months and in that time have fitted a new battery, EGR kit and exhaust downpipe and a few very minor bits and pieces. I've fixed the usual gremlins:- the dreaded water leak at the back which had flooded the boot floor (usual problem - cracked window seal) but that's now nice and dry and the floor is very solid; new lock spring on N/S/R door, so all the doors open on the central locking; new driver's side headlamp; stripped down, cleaned and re-assembled the rear wiper motor so that works perfectly; took out all the seats, most of the inner panels and carpets and given them all a damn good clean.

I have an impressive stack of invoices totalling nearly £5,000 that show what has been spent on it by the previous owner, along with every single MOT certificate that's been issued. It's currently MOT'd to next March, and for the 2011 MOT it had £1,000 spent on it to get it through, that included welding to the O/S/R inner wheel arch and N/S/R top shock absorber mounting and new rear brake discs/callipers/flexi-pipes, amongst other things. The N/S/R arch is still solid (see photo). The cambelt was replaced at 125,000 miles and it had its last service in December 2011. Indeed, from looking at the receipts, it's had regular services every year around the MOT time.

The clutch is very-good, gearbox is smooth (only took me a day or two to get used to third gear!) Hi-Lo works fine and never smokes on start-up. It's a little lumpy when cold, but the turbo kicks in fine.

It's taxed to end May 2013, but the cost of leaving that on is negotiable to whoever is interested in buying it.

As I said, it's in cracking condition inside - obviously never been abused, just surface dirt really which I have now cleaned (check the photos for yourself).

There are a few surface scratches on the bodywork, so it may have had some green-laning "expeditions" in a former life and there's the usual bits of rust here and there (show me a Discovery that hasn't!). The alloys are solid, albeit beginning to bubble, but the tyres have loads of tread left on them and there is a small dent about 2" in diameter on the bonnet (see last photo).

Includes two sets of keys and alarm remotes, a Haynes manual, Sony CD player with Ipod/AUX connector and as I said, a whole stack of bills/receipts, MOTs and even a tin of Woodcote Spray Paint!

And believe it or not, no oil leaks! Well, I can honestly say it has not marked my driveway ONCE since I bought it :) My Series 2a and 3 were a nightmare!

I am looking for £1300 for it including the tax, or £1150 without (no offers) and am located near jct21 of the M1, near Lutterworth, Leicestershire. Not interested in any p/ex, sorry. Any more pictures or info needed let me know.
