1997 disco ES electric sunroof (rear) won't close

Hi all,

Tosay's drama is with the rear electric sunroof. Changing the oil and filter this afternoon and i nipped round to the shed to get a rag and when i came back, the rear electric sunroof had opened itself. It leaks so i suspect the water got in somewhere.

The problem is, now it won't close. I've checked the fuse and swapped the switches front to back etc but nothing. So i thought don't panic, you can pop the little cover off and close it manually with the winder. Nothing - totally jammed open and it's pouriong of rain.

Help....

Underneath the cover for the roof switch in the rear should be an
Allan key slot so youcan close it manualy

Yep, found that and got the allan key shaped bit on the end of my ratchet and nothing - totally jammed. I'm going to break the bit or the ratchet if i try to turn it any harder.....

sorted - the manual winder was resulted solid. managed to free it off and get it closed. Sunroofs fuse pulled and front and back switches disconnected!
