Hi all,

New to the site having recently purchased my first Landy! No issues so far, other than jaw ache from smiling so much... and the alarm!

Been decent weather since I made the purchase but today the heavens opened. Lots of standing water which I gleefully glided through. However when I got home I parked up, locked up and set the alarm and headed out. 5 mins later my neighbour called saying the alarm was intermittently going off. Would go on for 5mins, they’d be a clicking noise and then it would start up again. The immobiliser is not affected and it starts up ok but even the fob won’t stop the alarm going off. Could water ingress be the problem, having maybe go into one of the many sensors / switches?

Help would be gratefully revived as much from my neighbours as it would from me!

Reconnected everything this morning and no problems, alarm stopped, all good. Locked the car up but didn’t set the alarm this time.

Weather turns and it’s starts raining hard. 1hr later the alarm goes off! Must be a leak somewhere!?!?!?

i would look for water around the interior light and the bonnet switch

Make sure the bonnet switch is making good contact with the bonnet, my neighbours landy alarm used to go off regularly, usually when stood in hot sun, I bent the bonnet alarm switch bracket up a little and made sure switch was straight and it has not went off since.
