Well, having been so impressed with my D1 in the 6 months I have had her, that I snapped up a beautiful D2 recently, sadly I now have to part with what was my introduction into this wonderful Landrover world.
As it says above she is a 1997 R reg D1 auto - in a kind of turquoisey colour!
She has done 172k and I did over 1,000 miles in her in the easter holidays recently and she never missed a beat. I have a comprehensive folder detailing all work ever done on her (unsurprisingly front pads are a common feature lol) and every MOT she has ever had too.
In the time I have had her I have had the pads done (lol) and have just put 12 months MOT on her which required (as far as I am aware) the first welding she has ever needed, basically the rear arches as there was rust too near the seatbelt mounts.
MOT advisories were basically rust on chassis rails and sills although the tester said she could easily pass another year, it was hard to judge. I know that wont put some of you handy welder types off tho!
After stripping out the carpets I took a pic of the boot floor which dont look too bad and I will try to get some piccies of underneath when the weather is a bit drier.
Oh nearly forgot, I put brand new AT rubber all round when I bought her - they have prob done a max of 2k.
Yes the sunroofs leaked - but simply putting duct tape round has sorted that - I just need to refix the headlining above the drivers side - everything is totally dry up there now tho - and if you want to fix em proper at least you dont need to spend hours digging out a load of silicone sealant!!
All electrics work fine apart from the cruise which I believe is a common issue with hoses. She had new headlights in before I bought her too.
No oil or water leaks at all - and no she hasnt run dry!
Starts on the button every time and drives really well - still pulls to well over 90 (gps true speed) - and in all honesty I will be sorry to see her go but I couldnt refuse Dave's D2!
A few small dints on the bonnet and some rust bubbles here or there but pretty tidy really and I would have looked at the cosmetics had I been keeping her.
Anyway, a good Disco and with a full years ticket, and all Im asking is £1,795 ono. Wanted to give you fine folks an opportunity before she goes to ebay.
