1996 P38 Gearbox Problem

Good Day

What would the cause be of the gearbox, from time to time Jerks when changing gears.

Sometimes 3rd, some times 2nd....

If it's a manual, it's a hand foot coordination problem, if it's auto could be low oil or oil need changing and the filter cleaned.

Yeah, check the oil level in the box if its an auto when i first got mine it only had a litre in it instead of 5 god only knows how it still worked. fine after a filter change and new fluid.

disomalc - Thanks but an G/B filter and new oil was given to the car less than 2 months ago by th land rover dealers.

Never trust a dealer. Get under it and check the oil level as per RAVE, or if yours has a dipstick, check with that.
