1996 HSE Fuse box plug info

I oped the Fuse box and on the Green plug I can see brown stuff. Is that because the fuse box has burned.

What is the function of the green plug.??

I also saw burn marks on yellow plug and Blue plug.

sounds like your fusebox is on its way out, not a uncommon problem, my 97 dse has got burn marks on the inside of the fuse box by relay 7(got to get a new fusebox!!!!), not sure about the petrol models, but on the diesels you can pull out relay 7 and see if the fusebox casing is sortched/melted, someone with a petrol model will prob be along to correct me if im wrong!!!! hope this helps anyway!
