1996 90 300 TDi front door hinges

I put my hand up that I'm a little confused here - not with removing the old ones and refitting new, but what to buy. I've done a bit of research but it hasn't really helped. So is it true that TD5 hinges will fit my vehicle - apparently they are a bit more rugged and resist corrosion better? If I buy hinges which are galvanised/zinc plated (whether TD5 or not), will they look naff unpainted? The reason for asking this is that before I got the vehicle it had been resprayed and I know I'm going to have problems matching the paint - if possible I would prefer not to go down this road.

Not sure about the TD5 ones fitting your 96 plate. Galvanised metal only stays shiny for a short while, then goes a dull grey colour.
