I hate my side windows with a vengeance because they rattle, open up slightly on their own allowing draughts and wind noise (the felt stuff has all rotted away) and are easy to open from outside. So I've been looking around for a replacement set and have ended up confused. Possibly my biggest concern is buying a set where none of the rivet holes line up with the body panel holes when I remove the old set and I end up with a pin cushion arrangement. I note that you can buy some where they are not riveted and just stuck in with sealant.

So any advice from members who have done this job, recommendations on what to buy and any difficulties I'm likely to bump in to would be greatly appreciated.

You can replace the felt runners which will stop the rattle. I bought replacement trim from a company called woolies (not that one :p ) It's a bit of a fiddly job to thread the felt into the window channel but makes the originals good as new- no need to remove the windows either. http://www.woolies-trim.co.uk/
