1996 110 Defender Hardtop Station Wagon

So I’m very excited to have purchased my first Land Rover. Been looking for a long time. I’ve picked up a 1996 110 Defender. (Happy to be corrected on the correct name as seem to be many variations, pics attached)
Any easy upgrade suggestions to get me started would be great. I’ve just had it serviced by a local garage so new filters, oils etc...
it’s got the original 300tdi which seems to be running good.
Any cool little mods would be appreciated.

Good security seems to be the best first mod if it hasn’t got any. You may think you live out of the way but.

Thanks Marjan. I’ve got an Immobiliser and a battery cut of key. All 3 doors are locked. I’m thinking a gear stick lock?

Smart Landy! As mentioned, invest in lots of good security measures for it. I’d amend your post so as not to share what it’s got so far though.

In terms of mods, take some time to use the Landy and see what might be good. From looking at it, I don’t think it needs much though. Perhaps some improvements to the interior, such as seats, headlining, sound proofing, although someone has already spent on it so it might not need these.

Nice looking landy, is it as nice looking underneath? If it was mine, I would do something about that snorkel. It looks like it is doing a "ooh, hello ducky" wave.

If you go over to the defender pages, there will be plenty of hard core off roaders to give advice on snorkels. Welcome to landyzone by the way.
