The old boy that's our game keeper has a 1993 200TDi disco and he's thinking of selling it. Condition is as you'd expect for someone of a wet dog, muddy beater and dead game kind of persuasion. But apart from the interior stinking and being muddy, the chassis still has paint on 98% of it, the engine is still solid as a rock and the transmission is also still pretty good. So I'm wondering how much roughly its worth?

Cheers
Tom

How much rust does it have? Check under the boot floor rubber matt, bet theres loads, there always is, check the rear arches too, and the mudflap stay and the light boxes and the entire front end!! Infact, check everything, it all rusts!!! :( Mine does.

250 - 500 quid depending on wether you plan on breaking it for spares or doing it up. The amount of rust will be the decider. Bear in mind even if you spend a load of time and money on it it still won't be worth much over about 500 quid.

Cheers guys, I'll let him know, think he's gonna be giving it away so might just take it off his hands and break it for spares.
cheers

geezz.. you always come up with really good prices on discos, when I need one when my engine blows up, you'll have to let me know where you find these discos for 250quid..

You just got to keep your eyes open and be ready to buy when one comes up. No use waiting till you want one cos there won't be any about. Last one I bought cost me 300 quid all good except the sills and a bit of rot in the boot floor. Sold the wheels off it the other day for 150 quid.
