hi to all.

i have a 1992 rolling chassis 110 which i am doing my first ever build up from the ground. it will be fully galvanized & i have decided to take it down the td5 route. i have bought an accident damaged discovery td5 to take the engine & gear box out of. it has a 10p engine with fairly low mileage.
i am aware of the gear selector what needs altering & i will need the engine chassis mounts from the discovery. i also have a full defender td5 wiring loom with ignition ecu from a 10p model. i have a defender 110 td5 fuel tank.
i no the axles are no good but i am fine with that as mine are all good & the rear will be converted to disks.
but can anybody tell me is there anything on the discovery i could use what i have not mentioned?
maybe fuel lines? filters ect. what about radiator packs or brake servos?
i would really hate to send it off for scrap not knowing there was lots of small odds & sods i could of used.
any help or advice would be appreciated.

cheers

I think that you may need to convert to electronic speedo as I believe that the engine management relies on a speed sensor from the speedo drive on the transfer box.
I would keep evetything that is attched to your engine, ie, rad, intercooler, exhaust, fuel filter, air filter etc. If they are not the same as a Defender, they may be adaptable.

thank you for that.
i never gave the speedo set up a thought. i think ill be doing a bit of googling to see what solutions are out there.
once the engine & box are bolted to the chassis i want everything addressed so thats a very good point..
but i do have a full defender 110 td5 loom with defender ecu so hopfully wont have to much agro
thanks
