I am reluctantly having to sell my pet project 1987 ex Police Land Rover 110 in order to keep my daily driver on the road (it will soon need a new DPF at £1200 a shot). I have owned the car for just over 18 months and only done just over 1000 miles in that time. It started off life as a 2.5 petrol but was converted to a 200 Tdi by a bunch of LR enthusiasts soon after I bought it ( I made the tea!). It has an engine from a Discovery that had done just 103k miles, and the 110 itself has done just under 84k. I also fitted the Disco transfer box but also have the original 1.6 ratio box which I will include if I get near the asking price. The car is MOT'd until 17 June 2013 and has tax until the end of November 2012. There were 2 advisories on the MOT - one for a cracked rear number plate and another for slight corrosion on the front offside body (strange that, given it's alloy). The chassis is solid but in all honesty the bulkhead could do with repairs to the footwells (the top corners were done last year).

I have fitted front and rear seats from a Rover 800 Vitesse, so part leather Recaros in the front and the Rover Vitesse bench seat in the rear. The front seats can be easily tilted or removed to get to the battery or tool box and are very comfortable. I have also fitted a Raptor dash with ammeter, boost gauge and oil pressure gauge. The car has Wipac spotlights on an A bar at the front, as well as heavy duty steering arms. I have replaced the original wheels with silver Modulars with 235/85 x 16 AT tyres. The car starts first time every time and is very reliable. There is a slight whine from the transmission at high revs (in a 200tdi, yeah right) and I suspect this is coming from the transfer box as it never did it when I had the original transfer box in it (see above re the original box). The alpine windows in the roof were plated over (it is ex Police so they didn't need them) so no leaks from there, but I do also have another roof with sunroof and alpine windows that I have never fitted and again will include if the price is right. The car has age related 'character' marks, and the rear offside quarter has a small crease (must have had a woman driver at some point ;) )

As said, this is a reluctant sale, but needs must. The car puts a smile on my face evrey time I drive it, and I am sure it will do the same for it's new owner. It does need a bit of work, but is perfectly usable as it is. Any questions, don't hesitate to ask. I have a few small pics which I can send to interested parties and will get more at the weekend. I'm looking for £2800 ono and the car is located in Hertfordshire between St. Albans and Luton.

The car is LEZ compliant so is suitable for any London residents looking for a Landy.

Thanks for your opinion D90. It is a nice vehicle and a reluctant sale but needs must. I am away from early tomorrow until the end of August so it'll remain in my possession until then at least. :D
