1986 90 inward facing rear seats

HI, I have had the above 90 for a while and finally got round to obtaining some rear seats, please can somebody tell me the best size bolts to get for fitting so i can nip down to screwfix and get some! From looking i imagine inch 10mm nuts bolts would do but would be very gratefull for advice on the subject of fitting them

different seats have different hole sizes - M8, M10 x 20,x30 etc-mostimportant bit is a good big wide washer to spread the load either side of the ally floor.

Also make sure you use high tensile bolts, these will have 8.8 stamped on the top.

thanks for the advice will go investigate later... hadd'nt thourght about particually big washers!

Is it worth putting some steel plate under there to really spread the load?

its quite a new back tub and they are the genuine land rover seats so i would have hoped big washers will be ok still with a land rover nothing is impossible!

if you put a big steel plate under the ally wheel arch, in about 2 years you'll have a big steel plate shaped hole in the ally unless you paint the steel and cram in a tonne of sealant between the two, or rubber... Found that out with my old 2a

the tubs painted and i have nice big penny washers it seams to have to dont the trick! i will post some pics later
