1984 SIII Rebuild - with lots of pictures.

doris has been moaning that i don't do enough around the house to help - so i made her a set of those wind chime things



i'm really confused now as i lent my flare tool to a mate and he managed to loose most of the punches and dies, but today while having a clear up i found these

i have wind chimes like those

but the only sound i get out of them is " when the **** are yer movin all this **** "

dunt think its powered, just using a series axle casing , oooh on galv too i likes that

26 years worth of crap attached to the rear drive shaft







splines look mint, so it's well worth rebuilding



couple of minutes with a wire brush ...... i wish









don't forget to line this pointer up with it's mate on the other end of the shaft or you'll get a odd vibration when your travelling at speed - by which i mean anything over 30

not at all, im stripping mine, welding it up and buiding another on it , but not fer keeps ,

then im getting a galvo for mine, as im keepint it fer a good wile yet .

any ways , yer can see the outside , and say its a good solid chassis , but yer cant garantee its as solid in side, might well last 20 more years, but will rott inside out

ave been pondering ordering meself one for me 110 build, probably cheaper to bring it north with me than have Richards deliver it

another one, using all the new original parts I've been collecting over the years - just need a set of new Rangemasters now and the parts list is complete

she wants a Ford Connect ! - the "new" 110 will be my going out in landy, whereas the others (other than those 2 special ones) i won't mind collecting 500kg of loose shingle in the back of - bit like having a going out in shirt, reserved for special occasions, i might even polish it

thas the idea with me series 2 when its finshed
