1982 Classic for Resto ?

Looks like abit of a project for someone, well worth saving, wonder how well it goes with that engine when it done.
 
The york was a good for the range rover IF you could get it to start. they had that pilot system (a hand pump in the cab with special fluid(easystart). once going they were quite good
 
I used to share 24hr. breakdown call-outs on a A series Ford beavertail back in the 'eighties & loaded the 'A' would cruise all day at the legal limit & pull well. As for the well known cold-start problems - our answer was to wire the starter circuit (only) to a second battery & crank the bugger over on 24v! I would have thought the 3.6 too long for the RRC engine bay, but obviously it has been done, also I seem to remember that both versions of the York were considered as 'disposable' units when they suffered failures.
